Artist access
Entering Signal Drops as an artist means entering a low-entropy production ecosystem.
This is not a platform, not a service, not a showcase.
It is a fragile, shared system that belongs to those who use it as much as to those who maintain it.
It must be protected.
Working infrastructure
All production happens online.
File exchange, when needed, happens through IPFS Desktop, especially for experienced users (bash, macOS, UNIX-based systems).
This keeps the archive distributed, autonomous and resilient.
SUNO — working space
SUNO is the operational workspace of the collective.
There are two separate accounts:
– Test account:
for trying and testing environments,
exploring what works,
and developing ideas without pressure.
→
SUNO · Test environment
– Production account:
for actual production work,
playing together online
through SUNO Studio.

SoundCloud — showcase and licensing
SoundCloud is the public showcase of the project.
It is used for listening, verification, promotion and license monetization.
It is not a production space.
Ecosystem economy
Undersound sustains itself through continuous, lightweight flows:
streaming, micro-licenses, listener and artist USB access, merchandising and ongoing micro-funding.
There is no aggressive value extraction.
Artist contributions and conditions
Base annual contribution: €25
This is a maintenance contribution to the ecosystem.
It includes:
– access to the environments
– free remixing and creative use
– use for live performance and streaming
– updates during the active year
Undersound credit is mandatory.
Direct commercial use is not included.
Production and consulting
If you wish to produce together with the collective, with support, consulting or professional production, this is handled separately.
Nothing is mandatory.
Free use option
Annual contribution: €200
This option allows:
– full commercial use for one year
– no credit obligation
– complete artistic autonomy
Chosen platforms
Signal Drops deliberately uses non-aggressive, non-social platforms:
Neocities, SoundCloud, SUNO and Ko-fi.
Not to go against the flow, but to follow a more sustainable and distributed one.
Use. Share. Participate.
But stop extracting value from the ecosystem.
